17, senior, love, going out for dinner, my 2 best friends, my boyfriend, guys with glasses, violin, ballet, harry potter, masquerades, making things, blush, headbands, traveling, the color pink, my camera, pretty panties, sleeping in, reading, laying in the sun, thinking about you, christmas lights, doing well in school, my stuffed bear, glow sticks, meeting people who change your life, music with depth and meaning, lace, dresses, sight-seeing, baby animals, and big blue bodies of water. I'm quirky and stubborn, but I have a big heart if you let me in.

Chagas, a life-threatening disease spread by parasitic bugs is being dubbed the “new AIDS of the Americas” by researchers because its initial symptoms are hard to detect. According to a lengthy editorial in the journal PLoS Neglected Tropical Diseases, Chagas disease is slowly — and surreptitiously — spreading to the U.S. from Latin America.
